She Page 27 Narain Khan was 25 when he left his native India to fight in the trenches of the Western Front during WWI. What is the funniest or oddest thing that has happened to you as an author? LAURA: When I don’t have to work at the library on a Saturday, I tend to stay up late from Friday night till like 5 or 6 a.m. Saturday morning. Consequently, I tend to sleep very late on Saturday
