how it goes well with the sauce accompanied it. Lastly, for the Bahn Mi, I was disappointed with this because first we chose the Vietnamese sausage as the filling, and they said that it is not available, so we changed our order to grilled chicken and pork. When our order arrived, I observed that the bread that they used was like hotdog buns that suppose to be a baguette. I don't like the Bahn Mi that they have. Their Bahn Mi doesn't have a liver spread that I think that a Bahn Mi supposed to have. The grilled chicken doesn't have the moisture that it supposed to have, sane goes with the pork.
In Banana Leaf, we've ordered Pad Thai, Roti Canai, Chicken Satay, Malayan Beef Curry with Potatoes and Teh Tarik. Pad Thai is my favorite of the dishes that I tried there and I will definitely go back for that dish. Same goes well with the Chicken Satay and Malayan Beef Curry with Potatoes. Banana Leaf definitely defines each dish to its cuisine. However, the Roti Canai for me seems to a bit thin as compare to Roti Canai that we've made in our lab and I've seen in the pictures and for the Teh Tarik, I hope that they've shown us how it has been done by pulling it from one pitcher to another because it is possible to still have the froth by shaking it and who knows if they've just shaken it or not.
Overall ....
both restaurants gave me a taste of authenticity of each cuisine, and I had a great experience even with little flaws that I've observed. They've serve fine quality food that has ambiance fit the cuisine and approach that they wanted it to be and good service.
