FROM THE ORGANISER
THIS YEAR, we’re proud to be celebrating the 21st Asia Dive Expo (ADEX),
the longest-running dive show in Asia.
As history would have it, ADEX and Asian Diver magazine started in tandem,
but went their separate ways under different management. Asian Diver joined us
in 2008, alongside our in-house publication, Scuba Diver AUSTRALASIA. The following year,
Asian Diver and ADEX reunited when we took over the reins. With all three premium brands
under one roof – Scuba Diver AUSTRALASIA, Asian Diver and ADEX – we founded the
underwater3some group in 2010. And so, ever since, underwater3some has been the
inspiration and passion behind ADEX.
This has been a very special year for us already. Firstly, we’re no longer just
underwater3some – we’ve changed our name to underwater360 to keep up with
our growing number of media projects that continue to support and inform the
dive industry. We’ve launched our brand new online platform, www.uw360.asia
(DIVERS’ DAILY DIGEST), redesigned SD OCEAN PLANET to make it more suited
to the dive traveller, and created Scuba360 (Trade360) to bring together the
key players in the industry.
From non-divers to seasoned divers, photographers to
conservationists, operators to gear distributors, we support you all –
everything we do is dedicated to the dive industry.
ADEX
More than Just a Dive Show
It is my personal belief that everyone can do their part to help
protect our oceans. Any way you look at it, we are inextricably linked
to the ocean and each one of us touches it in our own special way –
from the campaigners who fight their entire lives to save marine
species, to the recreational divers who seek refuge in the big blue.
Continuing my mission to liberate the inner diver that I believe is
hidden away in just about everyone, I aim to learn with, lead, and inspire
the coming generations of scuba babies to look below the waves and change
the way they, and the world, view our ocean.
This is why I strive so hard to support this industry through the
underwater360 group, and why we work tirelessly to introduce, and entice,
people to the eternal beauty beneath the waves – fighting to sustain a flourishing
ocean for all to enjoy.
