Flawless video on every device
Video streaming is complex. Ser-
vice providers must support a wide
and ever-changing range of stand-
ards, formats, device types, as well
as video production and delivery
approaches. And consumers expect
high-quality video on every device.
To be successful, service pro-
viders need quality control and
monitoring solutions at every stage
of the production workflow, for
both live and video-on-demand
(VoD) content.
Interra Systems (booth 4U2-
04) is in the business of delivering
flawless video on every device,
efficiently and cost-effectively.
“Broadcasters and other service
providers are embracing OTT work-
flows rapidly and they need proven
audio/video analysis and monitor-
ing technologies that will ensure
the delivery of technically sound
content,” says Kanishka Tongya,
Interra Systems’ sales director –
APAC & MEA.
“At Interra Systems, we offer a
complete solution for the content
streaming industry, comprising
next-generation QC to monitor-
ing and analysis for both live and
VoD content. Our software-based
solutions provide scalability, per-
formance and centralised manage-
ment enabling service providers to
deliver video on every device in the
most efficient and cost-effective
manner possible.”
At BroadcastAsia2017, Interra
Systems is showcasing a compre-
hensive range of quality control
and monitoring solutions.
n BATON, a hybrid QC for
file-based workflow: The solu-
tion supports a combination of
automated and manual QC checks.
With this hybrid QC solution,
operators can detect certain issues,
such as lip sync, which automated
QC solutions cannot spot. A new
feature, the BATON Media Player,
shows a list of manual QC checks
enabled in the test plan and allows
users to mark each manual task
as reviewed. The result is a well-
integrated and efficient broadcast
workflow.
The company’s BATON+ QC
and analysis solution optimises
the QC process by allowing users
to define workflows based on how
media content flows in a facil-
ity. New data analysis features for
BATON+ allow users to effectively
track trends and anomalies in the
media content, optimising deci-
sion-making and QC operations.
n ORION, a content monitor
for OTT workflow: ORION-OTT
is one of the industry’s “first”
software-based over-the-top (OTT)
solutions for real-time monitoring
