Shotoku ready to lend support
to VR and AR productions
The demand for virtual reality (VR) and aug-
mented reality (AR) productions will begin
to grow in Asia-Pacific, predicts Yori Kato,
regional sales manager, Asia, broadcast sales
division, Shotoku Broadcast Systems.
To meet this demand, the company has
brought its all-new Graphica Series of VR/
AR tracked camera cranes to Asia for the
first time.
Produced in collaboration with crane
maker CamMate, Graphica offers a range of
manual VR/AR tracked camera cranes that
offer tracking capabilities in a package that
is portable, scalable, stable and repeatable,
says Shotoku.
Graphica calculates positional data out-
put from embedded physical rotary encoders
designed specifically for VR applications.
