Donna was born in Fort Dodge , Iowa and grew up In Rochester , Minnesota . Donna had a wonderful childhood . She was a waitress for many years and also cooked .
According to her granddaughter Kailey her grandma ’ s dream job would ’ ve been to be a hair stylist . Kailey giggled as she fondly remembered spending time with her grandmother , and just how much her grandma loved to style hair . “ One time she combed my hair back so tight I thought my eyeballs went to the back of my head ,” said Kailey . On another occasion while blow drying Kaylie ’ s hair Donna was distracted and burned young Kaylie ' s scalp . Kailey loved spending time with her Grandma Donna who loved fixing her hair , however her grandma didn ’ t always feel the agony that came with her grip .
Donna married Ed on June 16 , 1968 , two years after he had served in the Army . Ed said his favorite thing about his wife was her beautiful smile . Ed and Donna moved to Everton , Missouri to work on Donna ’ s fathers dairy farm . They did a lot of milking and Ed remembers how Donna and his mother-in-law would name all of the calves along with the milk cows .
Donna also loved flea markets and would have Ed go along with her and together the couple would spend their free

time going from one flea market to the next . Eventually Ed learned to enjoy the flea markets as much as his beloved wife Donna .
They had two children , one son , Eric and one daughter , Kelli . They also had eight grandchildren .
