PRESENTATION : NHDOT Culvert Rehabilitation ( at Intersection of Route 114 & 101 ; Bedford , NH ) and Unique-Shaped Culvert Restoration
The major portion of this Webinar will focus on a project that was completed during the 2021 construction season . Specifically , NHDOT had approximately 620 linear feet of badly deteriorated galvanized multiplate culvert that crossed under the intersection of Routes 114 and 101 in Bedford , NH . Northeast Earth Mechanics worked with DLVEWS and Contech to rehabilitate the culvert under extremely challenging conditions – needing to combat more than 70 rain days and the resulting higher-than-normal groundwater table . In the end , the team worked diligently with NHDOT to design and install a new pipe liner with a combination of two different density grouts to achieve the annular space fill .
Secondly , participants will learn about a similar project that was completed with the Monroe County DOT of New York . It will highlight unique-shaped culvert lining capabilities and explain the complexity of the hydraulic requirements of a triple barrel CMP culvert .
During this 1.0-PDH lecture , attendees will be exposed to exciting world of local trenchless rehabilitation and unique-shaped culvert lining solutions .
