Southeast Asia Caspar Baum Member of the AsBAA Board of Governors, key liaison for CAG Singapore - The AsBAA Singapore Chapter, led by Caspar Baum, member of the Board of Governors led a meeting with the Changi Airport Group (CAG) to represent its members in relation to the following: - Transformation and growth of Seletar Airport including an enhancement of services and innovation hub. - Static aircraft display and “Seletar Show” 2019. - Closer collaboration between CAG, the authorities and operators, coordinated through AsBAA. - CAG objectives for the coming period and how AsBAA can help to assist. Emil Pope Member of the AsBAA Board of Governors Malaysia - The Malaysia and Indonesia Chapters, led by Emil Pope, member of the Board of Governors reports the following updates: - Identified a team member and strategy to rollout AsBAA Discovery in Malaysia. - Confirmed the Malaysia Chapter monthly meeting for 27 March with agenda items to include Mavcom and CIQ at Subang Airport. - AsBAA is beginning to assist Malaysia Airports with activities related to the Subang Regeneration initiative following the signing of a MOU between AsBAA and Malaysia Airports. Indonesia - Identified a team member and strategy to rollout AsBAA Discovery in Malaysia. - AsBAA has joined Indonesia Aviation Training and Education Conference (IATEC) 2018 21-22 March in Jakarta with a focus on AsBAA Discovery and how this can support job creation. - Informal discussions are now taking place with existing and new potential AsBAA members on IATEC with a view to enhancing and re-launching the Indonesia Chapter.
