LEARNING, LIFE AND THE ROLE OF EDUCATORS

It’s difficult to separate life and learning; in fact it should never be. May be that’s why the term ‘Lifelong Learning’ itself got its birth. But do these two words stay so connected in our classrooms? Being educators, do we always match and create true meanings to our students? Are we becoming capable to embrace the illogical questions and unconventional answers? What do we do to enrich our student’s experience – inside and out? Hey it’s not the compulsory questions to answer; and sorry no marks if you did. Just if these questions had appeared at least once in the model question paper you planned to set, congratulations! You are through....

Life, Learning, Educator – Every aspect about it has changed, except one.....still all the three terms remain sizzling enough to be discussed

discussed on a ‘counter point’ . But the question is ‘who will sit in that hot seat to answer’? Life of the student....every bit is unpredictable and thus fails to qualify the chair. Learning as a process or outcome......debate never gets over, so risky that show may get delayed. The remaining and the best option for this hot seat is the role of educator......who can ask the question or doubt my integrity? That says it all....the show ends.

‘Counter point’ forcefully changing the topic to ‘changing roles of educator’.....

Ans 1: Anybody, who self willingly gets involved in the field of education and actively engages themselves in the content, process and outcome of learning and life.
