TIMELESS
The tree in the backyard has seen it all It ’ s seen the child turn to a man It ’ s seen the worms beneath the ground
/ be born and die It ’ s been through wars and battles It ’ s seen houses built up and houses
/ brought down The tree has seen many lives pass by Lives of men , women , children Lives of worms , birds , squirrels It ’ s seen so much life grow and die But there the tree stood
