we find our ending. The hit HBO TV series Sex and the City is a great illustration of how love is no longer about the end goal of finding the man, but rather the exciting journey along the way. While modern-day fairytales have dashed some of our hopes with reality, they also tell us that true love sometimes comes along more than once, is available at any age, and we even get to be our own hero while we find it. Happily Ever After? And cue Bridget Jones... I mean seriously, if this isn’t a classic example that we can find true love, aka Mr Darcy, after 30 then I don’t know what is! Of course the fairytales of our childhood led us to believe that we had to be wed to a prince on our 16th birthday or we were considered over the hill, but at least now there’s a happy ending awaiting us after 30 #phew. While the pursuit of finding “The One” and a happy ending is st ill the ultimate goal, love stories today have made the in-between part, or “journey”, a whole lot more fun and interesting! No longer are we expected to sleep, slave away or be physically transformed until this happens – women are instead given the green light to explore, live, discover and get it wrong a few times before
