in front of an audience the oppor-
tunity to work with two established
cabaret professionals, culminating
in a performance in the Center’s
Starlight Room.
Unique to the Mayo Performing
Arts Center – and the State of New
Jersey – is The Miracle Project, an
evidence-based, groundbreak-
ing program which helps children
and young adults with autism and
other special needs build com-
munication and social skills, com-
munity, and greater self-esteem
though music, acting, dance, act-
ing and storytelling. The Miracle
Project was honored with the Mor-
ris County Chamber of Commerce
Excellence Award for Innovative
Program in 2018.
When asked about The Miracle
Project, pride and joy are immedi-
ately evident in Ms. Larena’s voice.
