Despite changing its name from
The Community Theatre to the
Mayo Performing Arts Center in
2011, MPAC remains true to its
roots in the community not only by
the performances they offer, but
through its education and outreach
programs. More than 40,000
participants are enriched and
exposed to the performing arts
through their programs for chil-
dren and adults. Classes include
participation in MPAC’s Performing
Arts Company, where music the-
atre performers aged 13-21 who
want to utilize their talents to bet-
ter the community by performing
for non-profit organizations, hos-
pitals and fundraisers in the area.
Young performers are also afford-
ed the opportunity to work along-
side Equity (Actors’ Equity the pro-
fessional actors’ union) artists and
a professional crew in an annual
Spring Musical. Adults can get in
the act as well – private voice les-
sons are offered for students of all
ages, and a Cabaret Workshop for

A native of East Brunswick, NJ, Dave graduated from
Berklee College of Music with honors and went on to
become a touring sideman and session player.
He has had the privilege of working with a number
of notable talents including Whitney Houston,
Phoebe Snow, Vonda Shepard, and Rupert Holmes.
