We rise before the crack of dawn to get ready, get a bite to eat, and head out to the busy streets of New York City. On the car ride over to the SURTEX SHOW we review our appointment for the day and anticipate meeting the customers we have only spoken with over the phone. The highlight was being able to put a face to the e-mail address for many of my customers. The importance of SURTEX is to be able to meet our customers( and potential new customers) face to face. Many types of businesses visit our booth... manufacturers( our customers- puzzle companies, card companies, flag companies, wall decor companies, etc) whole sale buyers( to buy the manufactured goods), and artist( generally seeking representation).
Our goal was simple- showcase our artist and their beautiful artwork. We definitely achieved that with our panels, catalogs, and Ipads, We were hoping to find some new leads( potential customers) and establish a face to face relationship with our current customers.
After a busy and productive morning and afternoon, some of us get a little bit of time to walk the show and see what trends are popular right now. It is also helpful for us to visit our customer’ s booths so we can see exactly what they are selling. a r t l i c e n s i n g. c o m 3
