The Mayor’s Awards in the Arts The Mayor’s Awards in the Arts are presented by the Coeur d’Alene Arts Commission and the City of Coeur d’Alene to recognize and encourage excellence in the arts throughout the City. Mayor Steve Widmyer presides over the festivities and the awards presentation for deserving citizens who have been nominated and chosen for Excellence in the Arts, Support of the Arts, Education in the Arts, and Student Excellence in the Arts. This fun and vibrant event also features a live auction of previous public art maquettes, live music, hors d’oeuvres, and a no-host bar. Free and open to the public.
