Bonnie was given the task to select a compatible , professional group of plein air artists who have likeminded work ethics and a passion for painting outdoors . In choosing these artists , Bonnie looked for artists whose interpretation of the landscape is varied in style and in medium and who are of the mindset to share techniques and philosophy with each other , as well as interested bystanders . She searched for artists interested in taking time to create and hone their skills in the art of plein air painting , in a non-competitive atmosphere , in a beautiful landscape with a variety of scenes . All the artists selected are nationally recognized artists , who compete in plein air events throughout the western U . S . Prior to this event Bonnie had known each artist and has painted with them ; however the artists themselves didn ’ t necessarily know each other well . Bringing these painters together for
