MJ: You lived in Post Falls, Idaho for a while. What was the best thing about being there? Akiane: There were many little miracles that happened in Post Falls but the best miracle that happened to me is the fact my youngest brother was born there. Even though we are many years apart, to me, he is my pillar in my life and always keeps me smiling every day.   MJ: Your YouTube video Painting the Impossible says you had a difficult time in public school and ended up homeschooling yourself. It also mentions you did not like to read. How did you study?  Akiane: I didn’t like reading at first so I experimented with everything hands-on, like cooking with my father, gardening, working on robotics, doing pottery, sewing, etc.  I learned so much more about the world by using my hands and my mind, not just by reading about the world.
