Selling artwork today is a lot more complicated than it used to be. There are many valid resources and avenues for Artists to get their images in front of potential buyers. This brings many new challenges to the traditional world of selling artwork. One aspect that is unchanged in the process of buying original artwork is the desire to see it in person. People visit an art gallery with one purpose in mind— to view and potentially buy artwork. No online image can compete with a client being able to stand in front of a piece of art and experience the talent, vision, and craftsmanship that the artist so deftly creates. Michele Mokrey and Leslie Ahrens are a wonderful example of that time-honored Gallery / Artist relationship and the value that relationship brings to those of us who are in awe of their talents.
