The Scoop is the smallest shop we visited, which adds to its character. The owner creates all the flavors and works day in and day
out to make The Scoop a success. They create new flavors almost hourly in their store. It a pretty cool sight if you catch them at
a time they are mixing the liquid nitrogen. After serving ice cream in Spokane for 10+ years, they have become a one-stop-shop
for their South Hill neighborhood. My favorite flavors here are the “Banoffee Pie” and “Caramel Coffee Toffee.”
You’ll come for the ice cream but you’ll stay for their Belgium waffles. They offer both sweet and savory waffle entrees and you
can choose from a variety of toppings or fillings. At the Scoop, they work hard to create new, unique flavors. They aren’t afraid to
try something new and bold. I got to see them in the process of creating a bubblegum flavor and they were literally steeping Big
League Chew bubble gum in milk. With all of their flavor creations, they try to keep everything natural, simple, and fresh. Their
basil flavor is simply pureed basil mixed with heavy cream. It sounds scary but don’t be intimidated, it’s delicious…and you can
almost convince yourself it is healthy.
They offer about 10-12 flavors at all times and it only takes them about 15 min to whip up a new batch (assuming the ingredients
are prepped). You can check their website, social media, or give them a call to see what flavors they are serving each day.
