Every Woman Can became a big supporter of the project. I made a visit to their office in early February and asked if they would be interested in saying a few words about the project on the documentary video that Rogue Heart Media was creating. Not only did Deb Barnes, CEO of Every Woman Can, agree to speak, but they then went above and beyond, supporting the project and EF students. They included a selection of the student’s public art pieces to promote their “Pink Ribbon Run” held on April 23, 2017. Seventy-two of the East Farms student works were selected to create banners that hung from the lamp posts on Post and Main Streets in downtown Spokane. Our EF kids painted the town pink! It was spectacular and what an honor for our students. No other elementary school in the US has had this opportunity. 22 ART CHOWDER MAGAZINE
