Stop Hunger Build Hope
Progress Update
On Friday, February 17, the
North Texas Food Bank publicly
announced the Stop Hunger
Build Hope capital campaign
with a ceremonial ground-
breaking at the future home of
the new Northern Distribution
and Volunteer Center in Plano.
Thanks to a generous lead gift
from NTFB Board Member
Katherine Perot Reeves and her
siblings, this new building will be
known as the Perot Family Campus.

subsequent generations of our
family to make sure our neighbors
are fed with love, hope and

This summer, Tom Black, Food Bank
Board Chair, retires from our Board
of Directors after ten years of service,
including two terms as Board Chair.
Tom, who was first introduced to
our mission in 2007, has helped
us grow our efforts towards a
hunger-free community for the past
decade as a dedicated volunteer
and community leader. Together,
with his wife Bridget, the duo can
be found representing the Food
Bank and championing our cause at
nearly every North Texas Food Bank
event. They were also among the
campaign is to close the current 92
million meal gap by 2025. Nearly
$42 million in commitments have
already been made in support of
this campaign, which is more than
75 percent of the total goal!
