While every member of BTS has duality (the jux
taposition of their stage presence and their off
stage personality), SUGA is perhaps the one
whose dichotomy is both easy to see and hard to
understand. He is aware that he isn't good at ex
pressing his feelings and has stated he wants to
get better at it; until then, SUGA continues to care
for his dongsaengs () qujetly.
One of the first documented instances of this was
during BTS's series American Hustle Life when
the members were given a task by Warren G. The
famed American rapper and producer split the
boys into teams and challenged them to rewrite
the lyrics of his most iconic hit, Regulate. Just as
Warren G had done with Regulate, each mem
ber of BTS was asked to tell his story through
rap. Jungkook and V, however, found that to be
difficut; neither of them felt confident in their abil
Jty to compose. Rather than let the younger boys
down, SUGA stayed up all night and turned their
stories into lyrics, impressing Warren G enough
for his team to win the mission.
