Skool Luv Affair still had strong hip-hop elements, but with the
integration of the pop genre. One could even describe some of the
songs in this album as having a R&B vibe. Previously, their songs
had been heavily hip-hop influenced. The switch to pop and a more
preppy visual, via school uniforms, really set the vibe and concept
they wanted to showcase in this album.
BTS’ members have never
missed their mark when
addressing the people who listen
to their music ever since they
debuted. They never forget that
not only are they expressing
their thoughts, wishes, and fears
with us, they are also a voice
which allows us to be heard.
Regardless of when more people
started to listen, the whole point
of BTS delivering this music
was to send out a message that
people could relate to. They have
always stayed true to themselves,
speaking out about what they
know and have experienced.
They express exactly how they
feel. Therein lies the reason why
so many feel incredibly connected
to every lyric they present to the
world. They speak to our hearts.
This album was no exception.
Although it does have a few
songs that speak of crushes and
love, the boys found a way to
make it their own and to keep
their voice intact.
