The new rendering engine allows incredible detail to the world that will surround you. Every object casts a shadow, trees and branches will sway with the wind, water flows in swift currents, detail that allow us to look out across mountain peaks as if we are doing it in real life. And everything you see you can walk to.
Oblivion focused more on idyllic sylvan glades and cities Skyrim will mountains tundra and ruins. The cities will show that people have lived in them for thousands of years… more of a renaissance feel to it.
The north coast has glaciers, snow and ice. A place called the ‘reach’ is rocky and craggy. The western end of skyrim is an big open tundra. 5 massive cities will be spread throughout the world for us to take a breather and explore.
The animals look brilliant as well from saber-toothed cats, wooly mammoths, wolves and elk to giants, frost trolls and snake-like ice wraiths. There will defiantly be enough to keep us busy.
A major change to the game will be the much needed tweaked combat system. Skyrim will have a two hands/two options system where every weapon or spell in the game can be equipped at anytime. You can duel wield two of the same weapons or a dagger in one and and a mace in the other, shield in one and a ball of electricity in the other, two different spells or the same spell in both hands that will combine it to an ‘extraordinary effect’.
