FALL
WINTER
Spring and Summer ‘14 for ARMED was about
defining branding initiatives and creating a newly
integrated approach through e-commerce and
brick and mortar. Fall marks our initial season
of wholesale availability to select retailers whose
heightened aesthetic and philosophy, make them
out to be one of our own.
The Spring/Summer collections were met with
successful press and industry regard that drew
attention to the repositioning of ARMED.
Rita Zekas published on Wednesday, February 26,
2014 in the Fashion and Style Section of the
Toronto Star “Jewelry-Maker’s ARMED — And
She’s Got Brass (In A Good Way). ARMED
boutique on Dundas St. W. at Trinity-Bellwoods
park is petite bijou with class all over, like Miley
Cyrus’s jewelry box meets antique curio shop.”
Laura DeCaufel’s Editor’s POV and “Ones To
Watch” was published in the March 2014 Issue
of Elle Canada “15 Need To Know Canadian’s
On The Cusp Of Greatness. Leaving with three
necklaces and a rewnewed satorial apetite for
fresh talent...The Rebel is edgy label ARMED and
designer Desiree Girlato.”
Fashion Magazine’s Caitlan Moneta published in
their April 2014 Issue featuring ARMED as Shops
Toronto “The Talent,” “talking dangeous details,
cuff love and model muses” in her interview.
“The juxtaposition of rich brass metal with natural
raw material is what being badass is all about. To
me, it’s a refined toughness that allows the piece to
still be feminine, highlighting both the beauty and
the difference of materials.”
