Arlington Ridge ,
Overseed went down November 9th as tropical storm Eta was affecting our area . We finished getting the seed out with light rains the first couple days . As I write this letter we still have a few days of possible bad weather so the end results of the process is still yet to be seen . We did purchase some post emerge herbicides to clean up any ryegrass that may escape into the roughs . The herbicides will also take care of other winter weeds as well .
I have been looking extremely hard at finding a crew to come out and pine straw plant beds but responses I ’ m receiving indicate a shortage of straw . Hopefully we can get them in shortly to help beautify the native grass beds . As the rest of the turf starts to slow in growth , we will continue detail tasks such as tree trimming , edging , filling “ potholes ” that have been caused by lack of established turf and raising sprinkler heads .
