Long Term CIP Summary
The total costs associated with the long term program are estimated at $33.94 million. Of this total,
approximately $24.60 million could be eligible for federal/state funding, and the local share is project‐
ed at $9.34 million. The proposed extension of Runway 16‐34 and associated parallel taxiways consti‐
tute over one‐third of the total costs in the long term CIP.
ULTIMATE TERM PLANNING PROGRAM
Ultimate term projects are those that likely extend beyond the 10‐year planning period of this study
and are mainly focused on development on the west side of the Airport. As such, these projects are
demand‐driven and involve the following, as further outlined on Exhibit 6A and illustrated on Exhibit
6B.
Project #1: Acquire Land for West Side Vehicle Access Road Right‐of‐Way (0.28 Acres)
Description: The acquisition of a small piece of private property would be needed in order to extend
vehicle access from the proposed Center Street extension to airport property.
Funding Eligibility: FAA/TxDOT – 90 percent / Local – 10 percent.
Project #2: Construct West Side Vehicle Access Road from Center Street Extension
Description: This project would entail constructing a public‐use roadway that could serve future land‐
side facility development on the west side of the Airport. This project could be phased over multiple
years based on aviation demand. If the Center Street extension gets delayed, another option to
providing access to the west side would be to realign a portion of the existing access road leading to
the ATCT outside the RPZ near Southeast Green Oaks Boulevard and opening it up for public‐use access
serving landside development.
Funding Eligibility: FAA/TxDOT – 50 percent / Local – 50 percent.
Project #3: Construct Terminal Aircraft Parking Apron on West Side of Airport – Phase II
Description: Construct additional apron area on the west side of the Airport to support private aviation
development. The Phase II construction includes the northern portion of the proposed parking apron.
Construction of parking apron space on the west side of the Airport could be phased over multiple pro‐
jects depending on demand, utility infrastructure, and access capability.
Funding Eligibility: FAA/TxDOT – 90 percent / Local – 10 percent.
Project #4: Construct Aircraft Wash Rack on West Side of Airport
Description: Construct an aircraft wash rack in an area adjacent to the proposed parking apron expan‐
sion on the west side of the Airport. The need for the project would be dependent on aviation demand
on the west side, primarily related to small aircraft activity.
Funding Eligibility: FAA/TxDOT – 90 percent / Local – 10 percent.
