Continued development of T‐hangar facilities on the southeast side of the Airport to support indi‐
vidual aircraft storage hangar needs.
West Side of Airport
Construction of a mix of hangar types to include conventional, executive, and T‐hangars/ linear box
hangars. These facilities would likely meet the long range demands of the Airport beyond the
planning horizon of this Development Plan and are dependent on other support facilities to include
aircraft parking apron space, access taxilanes, and vehicle access.
Table 5B presents the total hangar area proposed in the landside development plan. As can be seen
from the table, the layout provides over 584,000 square feet of additional hangar space, which exceeds
the amount of hangar space needed through the long term planning period based upon the aviation
demand forecasts. Therefore, the hangar layout presented can represent a vision for the Airport that
extends beyond the scope of this study. The reason for this is to provide decision‐makers with dedi‐
cated areas on the Airport that should be reserved for certain hangar types.

It should be noted that the Development Concept includes the depiction of a 35‐foot building re‐
striction line (BRL) on the east and west sides of the runway. Chapter Four provided a detailed descrip‐
tion of the BRL, which is a product of Title 14 Code of Federal Regulations (CFR) Part 77 transitional sur‐
face requirements.
Portions of existing and proposed hangars on the east side of the airfield are situated within the 35‐
foot BRL as shown on Exhibit 5A, and an evaluation of the heights of these facilities has been made in
comparison to the BRL. The majority of these facilities are T‐hangars and linear box hangars, with roof
peaks approximately 15 to 20 feet above ground level (AGL), and thus, do not constitute a penetration.
Future consideration will need to be given when constructing hangar facilities at the Airport, especially
