In fact, several aircraft not listed, such as the smaller Cessna Citation models, can operate at 100 percent useful load given the amount of length provided on Runway 16-34. Larger business jets such as the Gulfstream family, certain Learjets, the Citation X, and Global Express are more restricted in terms of useful load. It should be noted that larger air cargo aircraft, such as the DC-9, Boeing 727, and Boeing 737, could support a longer runway but would be dependent upon the specific make and model that the FAA agrees to consider as the critical design aircraft. In the event that this aircraft would utilize the Airport more frequently, justification for additional runway length could be warranted. It should be noted, however, that air cargo aircraft have heavier loads while landing at Arlington Municipal Airport. Once they land and the cargo is off-loaded, their weight is less, making the amount of runway length needed for takeoff more manageable. Chapter Three - 31
