or frequent saturation), and poorly drained soils.
Based on a desktop review, there are no wetlands within the vicinity of the projects identified in the

SUMMARY
This chapter has been designed to help the City of Arlington in making decisions on the future growth
and development of Arlington Municipal Airport by describing narratively and graphically the recom‐
mended Development Concept. The plan presents an airfield facility that fulfills aviation needs for the
Airport, while conforming to safety and design standards to the extent practicable. It also provides a
landside complex that will satisfy anticipated growth over the next several years and can be developed
as demand dictates.
Flexibility will be very important to future development at the Airport, as activity and growth may not
occur as predicted. The Airport Development Plan provides airport stakeholders with a general guide
to maintain the facility’s long term viability as a general aviation reliever airport. The next chapter of
this Development Plan will consider strategies for funding the recommended improvements and will
provide a reasonable schedule for undertaking the projects based on safety and demand over the
course of the next 10+ years.
