Doing business in New York is not as hard as you may think. Yes, there are permits, business lic, store fronts, tax ID's and maybe a few other things to get but it is worth it.
Nowadays you can get a great deal of information online before you start so that the process is smoother in getting what you want done.
Opening a business in New York is well worth it depending on your patience. Some people want to do it because it is considered a money capital and business banking here is really decent. New York has a great deal going for it in terms of office space, places to do business, cell phone service, lots of networkers and more.
There are so many people that believe that such a big city means you could not get everything done all at once from startup to grand opening but it can. Surprisingly you can get almost everything done in a week. It will take quite a few calls and some travel but you will be suprised.
The beauty about opening in new york is that you can live outside of the city and depending upon your location either travel into New York or work from your home or apartment.
New York is great for senery if you need it for your business to impress your clients, networking partners or customers.
There are good and bad points to working anywhere and here are some for working in New York.
Here are some of the good:
1. Applying for business lic, tax ID's and permits are a snap. You can call for the information and it will be sent to you.
2. You can get permanent, part time or shared office space.
3. You can go to networking events and will find someone who is into the business that you are into and get the business support that you need. Even networking partners.
Here are some of the bad points:
1. Parking can be very hard to find
2. Some office spaces (long term leasing) can be expensive.
3. If you have to take transit (car, Train or bus) to work you have to allow extra time to be ontime for your appointments.
4. When applyig for business lic, permits and tax ID do it as soon as your plans for your business or project plan is written out and okayed by you.
