echoes the thatch of the original homestead whilst retaining the practicality of a suitable material for a building of this nature . Walls are white with stone cladding at the base . Gable ends have extended timber detailing that adds an added texture to the façade as well as acting as shading from the sun and protection from the wind . On the second floor the window choices are more contemporary with larger expanses of glazing as well as smaller boxed windows that extrude out of the roof line . The side elevations are bookended by angled winglets that emphasise the linear flow of the building and are similar to design elements used on historical farm buildings .
