The extension to the centre allowed for additional line shops to be added to the lead in malls and the opportunity to re-image the mall entrances . Generous wind lobbies were added with automatic sliding doors for protection from the Cape ’ s notorious wind . A highlight at the entrances are centrally positioned skylights , allowing natural light to enliven the entry experience .
The architects were intent on making the building highly visible from the main road ( AZ Berman Drive ) as the shopping centre is set back from the road with a large area of open parking .
