Response to the Context and Environment There are two basic concepts that are fundamental to a successful retail design . Firstly , on the basis that retail is a dynamic and changing experience influenced by fashion and economics , the example of excellent design allows for both the flexibility of the changing experience with a welldefined access and service backbone . Within the constraints of the urban position this building design allows for this flexibility .
Secondly , the design recognises that the emphasis is the retail stores and does not try imposing upon the retail design , instead allows unhindered exposure of the store and the store design .
