Façades mostly consist of either full-height unitised glass façades with spandrel panels at ceiling heights or plastered brick cavity walls with additional cladding panels on the outside to create ventilated façades. North-facing façades
have additional horizontal louvres to provide shading and further reduce the mechanical load on the higher heat zones for the first 1.5m inside the glazed façades. The louvres here are a brownbronze colour, not only to add some warmth to the palette but also to reduce glare for office users sitting close to the façades.
On the other hand, vertical louvres were introduced to south- and south-west-facing glazed façades to assist in shading the harsh western sun that hits the buildings at low angles during the afternoons, without detracting from the amazing
