The resulting surface simultaneously evokes woven baskets, ceremonial fabrics and geometric patterns found throughout West African craft traditions. The façade becomes both ornament and environmental device, communicating cultural identity while performing a practical function.
This approach reflects a broader architectural ambition. Instead of presenting African identity through nostalgic or historicised imagery, the project demonstrates how traditional cultural references can be translated through abstraction and advanced fabrication techniques.
