of different building materials , methods and systems . This project strived to ensure a new and fresh approach was incorporated during all stages of the project , allowing the smooth transition from design to construction , whilst still captivating the initial conceptual drivers . Design and construction elements commonly utilised in the commercial and residential sectors have been included within an industrial typology to help promote sustainable projects .
Functionality The design was tasked to integrate three major programs of the tenant , these being administration , logistics and product showcasing . The main objective was to encase all these programs in one facility that would cater to a large range of clientele needs . It was important to ensure that prospective clients would have confidence in the products they were purchasing , resulting in the addition of a showroom and customer collection areas ; allowing trusted products to be showcased . The provision of a braai and entertainment areas were to ensure that customers left feeling part of the family , also assisting in company culture on launch days and promoting social integration between the staff .
Facilities The program of the design was to create a simplistic and direct link to all spaces - between the warehouse , offices , customer collection , training facility , showroom and sales area . Parking for staff and clients en route to the customer collection area were kept separate , to prevent parking shortages on both fronts . Access from the main entrance for staff to the canteen and ablutions was achieved with a
