The central atrium penetrates all the office floors and encourages visual and social cohesion by functioning as an interactive hub . The atrium stair and connecting bridges encourage people movement within the space and provide areas for impromptu staff interaction . The atrium also serves as a visual focus by ensuring that natural light penetrates into office areas . The atrium roof allows controlled sunlight into the atrium providing constantly changing shadows and light .
Exterior With height restrictions imposed on the site , a landmark building which would rely on a vertical projection into the skyline was not possible , so alternative strategies were adopted .
Within the office complex , the building form is sculptured into a dramatic raked façade which , together with the adjacent fin wall , provides a visual focus terminating the complex ’ s internal street system . Faced with space constraints of
