Personally, this has marked my first full year of small town living. Taking advantage of the benefits of high speed internet, my family made the decision to move from Cape Town to Knysna late last year. Moving to a small town has been interesting. There is no getting lost amongst the millions living in the far reaching suburbs of Cape Town, exposed mainly to like-minded folk of a similar socio-economic background. The microcosym of South African life is revealed on a daily basis. It‘s a truer reflection of our society which brings with it a rawer reality of what life is like for those that live close to the poverty line.
