My Space @ Drostdy is a modern co-living accommodation solution for students and young professionals that was conceived to answer contemporary living needs through the creation of practical and aspirational spaces that offer occupants comfort and convenience and easy access to campus .
Designed by dhk architects , with the My Space interior scheme implemented by dhki , the building encompasses lounges , deli , library , gym , laundry and study areas . The project ’ s design incorporates high-tech , future-thinking services and security features and an innovative and engaging interior scheme that together seamlessly support academic lifestyles while acknowledging the unique context of the location in the historical university town of Stellenbosch . The result is a vibrant living and working environment that appeals to a youthful audience , conducive to getting the best results from their tertiary education journey .
The redevelopment of the site entailed preserving and restoring the integrity and period detailing of the Drostdy building , thereby retaining a link to the history of
