Set in the suburb of Paradyskloof just outside the Stellenbosch CBD with great views over the surrounding area , My Space @ Paradys has emerged from an existing building , previously the Stellenbosch Lodge hotel , which , through a combination of refurbishment and new construction , has transformed into a vibrant co-living space designed by SVA International .
The original building design was based on the traditional Stellenbosch barn style aesthetic , with pitched gable ends and exposed interior beams in the public areas .
The existing hotel public spaces were converted into lounges and study areas , taking advantage of the double volume heights and sense of spaciousness that formed the architectural basis of the building . The existing mezzanine level was demolished and a new mezzanine created which now accommodates a board room and break
