in general. Numerous photovoltaic panels are
installed across the roof to substitute power
requirements during sunlight. Much of the
building structure was retained and re-used,
with elements added where possible, to also
create a better thermal mass.
Detail planning took place for the security,
data and audio-visual interface.

Afrihost

Summary
Afrihost has a new billboard branded head
office building, which was conjured out of
an old 1980s office block. It is strategically
located in the northern suburb, Rivonia,
close to the highway and easily accessible for
staff. Communication and the strong Afrihost
culture is fully realised in this new facility.
