The Moolman Group, in partnership with Jonker Evolution / Genesis Properties Three and Group 44, are the driving forces behind this 5,100m² development located northwest of Johannesburg’s CBD. This prime site, situated on the busy Barry Hertzog and Napier Streets, was the original location of the Rand Steam Laundries in the late 19th century. Now classified as a heritage site with some of the original structures still in place, it was one of the first examples of industrial architecture in the city. Rand Steam has been creatively designed around the extensive history of the area, with careful consideration for heritage site regulations. Unique design elements allow for an exciting and tasteful combination of old and modern architecture, art and an abundance of refreshing greenery. The distinctly innovative and upmarket shopping centre will have a strong focus on unparalleled convenience, and is envisioned to provide an exceptional shopping destination for the surrounding office, student and residential markets.
