allowing clients an insight into the engine room of Skybound. A meeting pod forms the focal point at the end of the central corridor drawing the eye further into the space. A multitude of formal and informal meeting areas are provided to suit all levels of interactions, ranging from the coffee bar to the gathering bench in the whiteboard area and all the way up to the meeting rooms where an acoustically tight stacking door folds away to create a single large boardroom. Space Planning Because Skybound is a company that thrives on the exchanging of ideas, but also requires private space for concentration and privacy, the workstation space planning found a middle ground between open-plan and compartmentalised. The team members’ workstations are situated around the perimeter of the floorplate allowing them the best access to light and views, but separated from the busier central areas by means of custom filing units. These units create a sense of privacy for the users when seated, but allow views across the floor when standing. In addition to the practical storage elements of these units, each provides a built in bench to allow colleagues to gather around a user’s screen for sharing, a pull out worktop for document collation, glass panels for writing on and a pinboard for personal mementos. skybound Capital 65
