An oversized roof was designed over the food court . The roof provided much needed shade and protection from inclement weather to the patrons whilst eating and socialising . The protected food court also sports a children ’ s play area , oversized chess boards , an amphitheatre and drinking fountains . The patrons use the amphitheatre for relaxing , socialising and watching shows , sport and musicals on two large screens .
Workstations were designed at entrance two for patrons wanting to use their laptops . All benches inside the mall as well as the amphitheatre sport charging stations for mobile phones and laptops . A central music centre was introduced to the inside and the outside of the food court for background music .
Existing inherited transport methods , namely busses and taxis , were incorporated into the mall . Previously the vacant site had a bus and taxi facility that serviced the areas commuters through the neighbouring suburbs and town .
Sustainable Elements Solar panels adorn the roof area of the mall . A clean energy supply from solar panels into invertors provides on-going power to the centre when blackouts occur .
