Located in Dunkeld the Women ’ s Development Bank Trust ( WDB Trust ) is a women founded , women led and operated group with a combined over 25 years ’ experience with a focus on funding and supporting women entrepreneurs .
Design Brief The brief that design firm Tétris received from WDB Trust was to design a space that represents South African women . It needed to be feminine , speak to confident , substantial investment , be beautiful and be filled with as much natural light as possible .
Functionally the space had to include a few cellular offices with the rest of the work area to be multifunctional open plan spaces that incorporated optimal storage solutions and spaces for knowledge gathering and sharing . Furthermore the client required a multi-purpose meeting and training space separate from the work area to use internally for workshops or to lease out for various female based functions in order to generate income .
