the apartments.
The apartments are fitted with modern kitchens,
all with soft-close drawers and cupboards, and
slick white quartz counter tops. Hansgrohe taps
have been installed in the bathrooms and kitchens,
and Bosch appliances have been supplied with the
apartments. Large glazed sliding doors open onto
terraces for the apartments, while the apartments
have ceilings installed throughout with bulkheads
in the bedrooms and living rooms. Penthouse
owners have a triple-volume experience as they
ascend to the roof terraces which comprise a
Infinité
composite timber deck, a timber bulkhead beneath
the terrace roofs, and a crusher-stone filled trough
that softens the materiality of the concrete roof in
front of their balconies.
Construction
Tri-Star Construction were the main contractors
on this fast track project, which took 15 months
to construct. This massive project utilised 2
cranes and employed 1,850,000 man hours.
The structure was significant with 15,000m 3 of
concrete, 2,600 tons of reinforcing steel and some
2,800,000 bricks.
