policy promotes transparency. Departments are placed in such
a way as to improve inter-departmental communication. Teams
are provided with adequate storage space with their own
printing facilities.
The bathrooms and storerooms are placed in the core
of the building, which makes them easily accessible by both
employees and visitors. PLAE Interiors promoted using dark
spaces that have no natural sunlight as storage facilities and
server rooms. On the other hand, they capitalised on the natural
light in the offices to improve the health and wellbeing of
employees and visitors.

Reception
The interior portrays an inventive design, where exposed
ceilings, raw bricks, and concrete floors embody Zimmer Biomet’s
culture of transparency. On entering the building, the back
reception wall displays their products in a subtle yet memorable
way. The reception desk has a built-in timer that automatically
updates the number of lives improved by Zimmer Biomet’s
medical products and services.
The VW Van
The design team took inspiration from the book ‘Good to Great’
by Jim Collins. Zimmer Biomet is passionate about the novel in
which Jim Collins creates a metaphor by comparing a business to
Zimmer Biomet
