The floor plates were also designed to allow future proofing of the building with flexible floor plates which could accommodate various uses. 117 on Strand Structure and Façade The superstructure of the building is a combination of steel reinforced concrete columns and post tensioned concrete slabs. The benefit of the post tensioning slabs is that it reduced the slab thickness, thereby slimming down the overall structure and creating a more efficient building in section.
