Development Background Developed by Dorpstraat and Haus Developments, with Reefrock Asset Management also playing a significant role, the evolution of Optenhorst Village has been nearly ten years in the making. Originally working with a large national retailer who were looking for a site in Paarl North, a number of sites were identified. The Optenhorst site, belonging to the well known Carstens family, consisted of 10ha of underutilised vineyards, directly adjoining the urban edge.
